The Situation of Human Rights Defenders

Report documenting shocking violations of human rights for patients and their doctors. The situation of Lyme and relapsing fever borreliosis patients and their defenders show violations in eleven human rights treatises and articles pertaining to the rights to: freedom from torture and cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment; freedom of association; participation in public policy; due process and remedy; liberty and security of person; privacy and confidentiality; bodily integrity; the highest attainable standard of health; non-discrimination and equality; and parents defending their rights to prohibit the administration of medicine to a child against parents’ wishes.
